West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, currently in his home state Kerala, has announced his decision to donate a month's salary to disaster relief activities for landslide-hit Wayanad. The announcement came during his visit to oversee rescue efforts and treatment of the injured.

During his visit to the affected areas, Governor Bose expressed solidarity with the people of Bengal and the victims of the Wayanad calamity. He surveyed landslide-hit locations, relief camps, hospitals, and mortuaries, engaging with survivors and the relatives of those who lost their lives in the disaster.

On Wednesday, Governor Bose coordinated efforts with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Army, and other agencies conducting rescue operations. Local officials briefed him on the ongoing relief work and sought his guidance on communicating their needs to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He is also maintaining close coordination with central minister George Kurian. Governor Bose rushed to Kerala on Tuesday night following heavy rainfall that triggered multiple landslides, resulting in significant casualties and injuries.
