On Sunday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha revealed a comprehensive package of Rs 239.10 crore aimed at the development of Gandatwisa subdivision, which was severely affected by recent violence.
The violence erupted following the death of a college student on July 12, rendering 145 families homeless. The Chief Minister, alongside Chief Secretary JK Sinha and DGP Amitabh Ranjan, visited the relief camps to interact with the displaced families and assess the damage.
Saha emphasized that the government is providing additional financial assistance to the victim's family and plans to develop local infrastructure, including roads, markets, and hospitals, to restore normalcy and ensure peace in the region.
