An Israeli airstrike struck a tent inside a hospital compound in central Gaza, resulting in at least five deaths and numerous injuries, according to Gaza health officials. The strike, part of numerous attacks on Sunday, raises the Palestinian death toll to 19, further intensifying the ongoing conflict.
The Israeli military claimed they targeted a militant involved in terror activities, noting that secondary explosions indicated the presence of weapons. In total, they struck 50 military targets across Gaza within the last 24 hours, including militant cells.
The hospital in Deir Al-Balah, already crowded with people displaced by fighting, suffered severe damage. Additional Israeli strikes across Gaza resulted in fatalities, including three in Deir Al-Balah and several others in northern Gaza City and Khan Younis. Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts in Cairo, the conflict shows no signs of abating, with Israel preparing for further escalation.
