The Punjab government on Sunday issued transfer orders for nine IAS officers in a significant administrative reshuffle.

According to official orders, Senior IAS officer Alok Shekhar has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jails, and Tejveer Singh will take charge as ACS Local Government.

Ajoy Sharma has been posted as the principal secretary of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, while Rahul Tiwari, currently the administrative secretary of Science, Technology and Environment, has been assigned additional responsibilities for Housing and Urban Development and Power.

Kumar Rahul will now serve as the administrative secretary of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra has been appointed as the secretary of Personnel with additional duties in General Administration and Vigilance. Dilraj Singh has been designated as administrative secretary of Rural Development and Panchayats. Pardeep Kumar has been made the Commissioner of Jalandhar Division, the order stated.
