Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to contest the High Court's decision in the Supreme Court regarding his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a corruption case tied to an alleged excise policy scam, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna dismissed Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest, asserting that the action was justified. The High Court also disposed of the AAP national convenor's bail plea, allowing him the option to seek relief from the trial court.

On July 17, the High Court had reserved its decision on Kejriwal's challenge to his arrest. The AAP revealed that the Supreme Court has already granted Kejriwal interim bail in a related money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
