A murder case has been registered following the discovery of a 19-year-old woman's body near a lake in Navi Mumbai, police disclosed on Thursday.
Identified as Bhavika More, the deceased was found by a nullah near Flamingo Lake behind DPS school around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, according to an official from NRI police station. Initial reports suggested the involvement of a male friend captured on CCTV footage, but the FIR filed does not corroborate these details.
Based on a complaint from More's relative, the FIR was registered against an unidentified individual under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita past Wednesday midnight. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing.
