In a bid to bring governance closer to the people, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced on Thursday that he will visit Kanakapura on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
He aims to address the issues plaguing the residents of Bengaluru South district directly. Shivakumar emphasized the inconvenience faced by people traveling to Bengaluru to register their grievances.
This announcement comes on the heels of the Karnataka Cabinet's decision to rename Ramanagara district to Bengaluru South district, encompassing the taluks of Ramanagara, Magadi, Kanakapura, Channapatna, and Harohalli.
