Father Confesses to Strangling Pregnant Daughter Over Love Affair

A man in Bareilly strangled his pregnant 17-year-old daughter due to her love affair and later confessed at a local police station. The incident unfolded as the father initially filed a rape case against the girl's lover. The police arrested the lover before the tragic murder occurred.

A man in Bareilly has confessed to strangling his pregnant 17-year-old daughter over her love affair, according to local police reports.

Bareilly Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Bhati stated that the girl was involved with Bhujendra Srivastava, a resident of Rasula village. After learning about his daughter’s pregnancy, her father filed a rape complaint against Bhujendra, invoking charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Following Bhujendra's arrest and the girl's return home, the father strangled his daughter later that night. He turned himself in at Parsa Kheda Police Station, and the girl’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
