Tragic Incident at R G Kar Medical College: NCW Team Investigates

A two-member team from the National Commission for Women (NCW), led by Delina Khongdup, visited R G Kar Medical College and Hospital to investigate the rape and murder of a woman doctor. The team also met with Kolkata Police and visited the victim's family residence.

A two-member team from the National Commission for Women (NCW) visited the state-run R G Kar Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday morning to investigate a tragic incident.

The team inspected the seminar hall where a woman doctor was tragically raped and murdered. Team leader Delina Khongdup met with Kolkata Police investigative officers at their Lalbazar headquarters and then went to the victim's Panihati residence to meet her grieving parents.

Khongdup described the incident as 'heinous' and 'very unfortunate.' The woman's body was discovered in the seminar hall on Friday morning, and a civic volunteer was arrested on Saturday in connection with the crime.
