Officials reported on Wednesday that the case falls under section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The accused were identified after allegedly abducting and killing a female dog on August 10, according to a complaint made by housing society members.
No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, officials stated.
