A tragic incident unfolded in Rayachoti, Annamaya district, as a 34-year-old woman ended her life and that of her two minor children by setting themselves ablaze. This drastic action was a result of the alleged harassment she faced from her husband, who suspected her fidelity, according to a police official.

The victim, identified as Y Rama Devi, reportedly opened a cooking gas cylinder in her house and set herself and her children on fire. This tragic act was allegedly spurred by her husband Y Raja's constant surveillance from Kuwait, where he worked as a tailor. Raja had installed cameras in their home to monitor her every move.

Police revealed that Devi had sent a distress message to her brother, expressing her inability to withstand Raja's harassment any longer. Despite her brother's attempts to alert the neighbors, it was too late, and Devi succumbed to her burn injuries. Authorities have registered a case and are working to bring Raja back to India to face legal proceedings.
