An 18-year-old man lost his life, and his friend sustained injuries when an outdoor air conditioner unit fell from the second floor of a building in Central Delhi, authorities reported on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Jitesh, was sitting on a scooter with his friend Pranshu when the incident occurred. Pranshu, who is 17 years old, is currently hospitalized and unable to provide a statement. A video capturing the incident has surfaced online.
According to the police, an FIR has been filed under sections 125(a) and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing negligence and endangering life. The forensic team has completed an initial examination of the scene, and further investigation is underway.
