Delhi Police Arrest 18 in Nationwide Cyber Fraud Crackdown

Delhi Police officials announced on Friday the arrest of 18 individuals from 12 locations, including Mewat and Jamtara, in connection with alleged cyber frauds.
A specialized cyber unit from Delhi Police's southwest district executed a pan-India operation, cracking seven significant cases of stock market investment fraud, cheating via Telegram, and using fake customer care numbers, a statement revealed.
The raids took place in several states, highlighting the widespread nature of the problem. The police seized 42 mobile phones, 21 SIM cards, six ATM cards, two fake Aadhaar cards, and Rs 35 lakh, linked to 148 complaints lodged at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
