Islamic State Claims Responsibility for Deadly Kabul Explosion
Islamic State has taken responsibility for an explosion in Kabul, Afghanistan, that killed six and injured 13 people. The militant group announced on its Telegram channel that one of its members detonated an explosive vest, affecting over 45 individuals. Kabul police initially reported lower casualty figures.
Islamic State claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a deadly explosion in Afghanistan's capital Kabul a day earlier.
In a post on its Telegram account, the militant group said one of its members detonated an explosive vest, killing and injuring more than 45 people. On Monday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran had said the blast killed six people and wounded 13 others.
