University Student Kidnapped and Robbed by Trio in Gurugram
A Bachelor of Technology student from Gurugram University, Atharva, was kidnapped and robbed by three men. The accused forced him to withdraw Rs 1.87 lakh and sell his motorcycle. Police arrested the trio and recovered stolen items. The main accused revealed that they were drug addicts needing money.

A Bachelor of Technology student from Gurugram University was forced to withdraw Rs 1.87 lakh from his account and sell his motorcycle by three men, the police reported on Friday. The suspects were taken into custody for kidnapping and robbing the second-year student.
The incident, which took place on August 28 at around 4:15 PM, involved the assailants snatching Atharva's mobile phone and threatening his life. The accused executed five transactions from the victim's UPI account before taking him to a bike showroom where they sold his motorcycle.
The arrested individuals were identified as residents of Palwal district. During interrogation, main accused Tilak Tewatia confessed that they targeted Atharva to fund their drug addiction. Authorities plan to take the suspects on police remand following a court hearing.
