Tragic Incident in Connaught Place: Man Fatally Hit and Dragged by Car

A man named Lekhraj was killed after being hit and dragged by a car in Connaught Place. The driver, Shivam Dubey, fled the scene but was later arrested with the help of CCTV footage. Dubey has been booked under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigations are ongoing.

A man was killed after allegedly being hit by a car and dragged for around 10 meters in Connaught Place, officials disclosed on Saturday.

The incident occurred Wednesday, with the driver, Shivam Dubey, reportedly fleeing the scene. He was apprehended the following day through CCTV evidence.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old homeless man Lekhraj, was declared dead at the hospital. Dubey, a native of Madhya Pradesh, has been booked under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the car has been impounded. Investigations continue.
