Delhi Crime Branch Arrests Key Suspect in Newborn Trafficking Case

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has apprehended a 38-year-old man from Kolkata, identified as Sangram Dass, for his alleged involvement in a newborn trafficking network, officials reported on Saturday.
Dass, a resident of Delhi's Begumpur, was declared a proclaimed offender by the court. He had a Rs 20,000 reward on his head, police stated.
The police investigation revealed Dass and his associates lured parents from economically weaker sections and even stole babies to sell them, leading to arrests across Delhi and Haryana.
