Hundreds of individuals were seen outside the venue hosting the biennial Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition, with many chanting pro-Palestine slogans through loudspeakers, as shown in television footage.
Some protesters attempted to cross barricades and were blocked by riot squad officers. One protester climbed atop a truck at a traffic light. Capsicum spray was deployed to control parts of the crowd, with many protesters shouting at delegates attending the conference, according to ABC News.
