A junior doctor at Agra's Sarojani Naidu Medical College and Hospital has been arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl, authorities confirmed.
According to an official spokesperson, an FIR has been registered against the pediatric department junior doctor, leading to his immediate suspension. A special committee has been appointed to investigate.
Family members stated that the doctor called the girl into his chamber and committed the crime, after which she informed her mother. Legal actions have been initiated under specific sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO Act.
