Iran-UN Tensions Flare Up Over Nuclear Site Threats
Iran has lodged a complaint with the U.N. nuclear watchdog over Israeli threats to its nuclear facilities following missile exchanges between the two nations. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced this amid ongoing regional tensions. Iran's foreign minister plans to visit Bahrain and Kuwait to seek conflict de-escalation.
Iran has officially protested to the U.N. nuclear watchdog about Israel's threats to attack its nuclear sites, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei during a recent news conference.
Baghaei highlighted that such threats defy U.N. resolutions, emphasizing that Iran sent a formal letter to express its condemnation. The Israeli threat follows İran's October 1 missile launch, aimed as retaliation for Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
As part of efforts to ease regional tensions, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will travel to Bahrain and Kuwait, signaling Iran's diplomatic approach amidst this conflict escalation.
