The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) challenging the Bombay High Court's decision to quash lookout circulars against actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family.
Justices B R Gavai and K V Viswanathan labeled the agency's plea as 'frivolous', thus affirming the February ruling which voided the 2020 lookout notices against Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and parents Indrajit and Sandhya.
The investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in June 2020, continues amid allegations of abetment and prior arrests related to a reported drug case.
