China Extends Support to Sri Lanka's Flood Relief Efforts
China has provided financial assistance of Rs 30 million to Sri Lanka in response to natural disasters this year, with additional material assistance expected. This aid aims to support flood relief efforts and reconstruction, following significant flooding that displaced over 50,000 people across the country.

China has granted financial assistance worth Rs 30 million to Sri Lanka to mitigate the impact of natural disasters experienced from January to October, announced the government on Saturday.
The Chinese support comes under the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Programme, with material assistance valued at 10 million Yuan also anticipated, as per the President's Media Division (PMD).
Massive flooding in Sri Lanka this year resulted in over 24 deaths and displaced more than 50,000 residents, prompting the Chinese Embassy to contribute USD 100,000 and materials worth LKR 400 million for flood relief.
