The Election Commission has reportedly ordered the suspension of a Rajasthan cadre IPS officer. The officer allegedly left his post in a Jharkhand constituency, where he was stationed as an observer, without seeking prior authorization.
Sources within the Rajasthan chief electoral officer's office provided insights into the situation. The governing body of elections instructed the state government to suspend the said officer.
It is understood the officer returned to Jaipur from Jharkhand without notifying the Election Commission or obtaining the necessary clearance to depart his duties.
