The West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) has taken into custody a man from Murshidabad district for alleged affiliations with a terror organization, a senior officer revealed on Monday.

The individual, hailing from Durlabhpur, was apprehended in Naoda town amidst a Sunday night raid conducted by the STF. He is reportedly involved in assisting a terror group in establishing a sleeper cell in Baharampore, according to the officer.

Connections between the arrested individual and another militant captured in Kerala have surfaced, with both sharing the same address on the voters’ list. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover further details, the officer added.
