Sambhal Discord: Historic Mosque Survey and Violent Clashes

A controversial survey of Sambhal's Jama Masjid has sparked violence and political accusations. The court commissioner submitted a detailed survey report on Sambhal's Jama Masjid to the Chandausi court on Thursday, detailing findings from a November survey.

The survey, led by Court Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav, examined claims that a Hindu temple once stood where the mosque now does, resulting in significant public interest and legal controversy.

Political figures, including Samajwadi Party MP Zia Ur Rahman and SP president Akhilesh Yadav, have accused BJP of instigating violence related to the case, while Congress alleges communal tensions are being used politically.
