A Russian drone strike near Kyiv resulted in the death of a rail worker and significant structural damage, according to local authorities. The attack in the Boryspil district ignited a fire in a storage area, while debris struck a multi-storey apartment building and an educational institution.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that drone fragments in the Solomyanskyi district caused fires and damaged private residences. Although air raid alerts sounded for about three hours, there were no casualties in the capital city.
In the southern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian assaults continued with a guided bomb injuring three people in Huliaipole. One person was reported dead in an earlier attack west of the town. However, these military activities could not be independently verified by Reuters.
