Additional District and Sessions Judge Arvind Kumar Yadav convicted Ravi Babu, his wife Ritu, and his sister Radha Devi. Government Counsel Sachin Kumar Jaiswal noted the murder stemmed from the girl's intention to reveal an alleged illicit family affair.

Critical evidence came from Kajal's cousin, Suraj, who courageously reported the incident to the Izzat Nagar police. Investigations revealed harrowing details, including Kajal's broken wrist and multiple body injuries. The police recovered her body based on Suraj's testimony.
