A Belgian national, Simon Clement, has been arrested in Mizoram's Aizawl following the alleged discovery of two empty cartridges in his possession, according to local police reports.

Working as a freelance photojournalist, Clement was detained during a routine security check at Lengpui Airport on Wednesday. Authorities have registered a case against him under the Arms Act.

Further complicating his legal troubles, Clement reportedly crossed into Myanmar without proper authorization, returning to India where he was swiftly apprehended. The Mizoram Journalist Association plans to meet with Clement to offer support amid these developments.
