In a devastating turn of events near East Delhi's Anand Vihar, three laborers lost their lives while attempting to save an expensive company machine from a fire. Police sources revealed this grim detail on Wednesday, a day after the tragedy unfolded in a makeshift hut.
The victims, identified as 30-year-old Jaggi, 40-year-old Shyam Singh, and 37-year-old Kanta Prasad, were asphyxiated and ultimately perished after failing to unlock the hut's door during the blaze. Their colleague, Nitin Singh, managed a narrow escape by tearing through the hut's plastic sheeting and jumping over a wall.
