A devout follower of Lord Krishna, she is celebrated for her unwavering faith and for her remarkable journey that symbolized dedication and humility. According to legend, Mata Karma undertook a sacred pilgrimage to the holy city of Puri, home to the revered Jagannath Temple.

During her visit, she was asked by the temple servitors to prepare khichdi, a simple yet spiritually significant dish.
