In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, police arrested two suspects on Wednesday at Bikapur Mod, recovering 1.05 kg of morphine with a street worth of approximately Rs 1 crore. The operation is part of an extensive campaign against narcotics in the region.
The accused, identified as Sahil from the Rajnapur area and Tausif from Barabanki district, are now in jail under stringent NDPS Act charges. A motorcycle allegedly used in their illegal activities was also seized.
Station House Officer Anil Pandey underscored the ongoing investigation into the suspects' criminal history, indicating extensive drug network activities across Barabanki and its neighboring districts.
