In alignment with directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, a monumental civil defense drill labeled 'Operation Abhyas' unfolded across multiple city locales on Wednesday.
Designed as a national readiness initiative, the exercise spurred immediate action from civil defense teams alongside police, fire, and emergency services after a siren sounded at 3:48 PM.
This drill, spanning half an hour, incorporated scenarios like fire rescues, debris clearance, high-rise evacuations, and medical emergencies, showcasing collaborative preparedness efforts. Similar exercises ensued in parts of Karnataka, including Raichur.
