A daring thief targeted the Geometry Brewery and Kitchen located on Gayatri Nagar road in North Bengaluru, making off with cash totaling between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000, the police revealed on Monday.
The break-in occurred in the early hours, between 3:30 am and 4 am, when the suspect accessed the premises through a back door, as per the initial report. The security guard raised the alarm after noticing the intruder, who was reportedly carrying a weapon, at around 4:30 to 5 am.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Saidulu Adavath reported that while the guard claimed the thief wielded a pistol, this has yet to be confirmed.
