The main accused in a shocking youth assault case in the Rasra area has surrendered before a local court, police confirmed on Friday. The assault came to public attention after a video showing the brutal beating was widely circulated online.
Rasra police station's SHO, Vipin Singh, revealed that the incident involved a group of youths forcibly capturing another individual, whom they then stripped and beat with a tree branch. Shockingly, bystanders filmed the incident rather than intervening.
Following the video's circulation, police registered a case against Prince Singh alias Manvendra Singh, Samrat Singh, Dhannu Singh, and Raj Nishad based on a complaint by the victim, Abhishek Rajbhar. Prince Singh surrendered in court, while efforts continue to arrest the other suspects.
