In a major theft at the Gannavaram Sub-Registrar office in Krishna district, thieves escaped with non-judicial stamps and adhesive labels amounting to Rs 13.56 lakh, officials revealed on Thursday.
Police reports indicate that the non-judicial stamps alone were assessed at Rs 2.70 lakh, while the special adhesive labels accounted for Rs 10,86,300. A formal complaint has been lodged by the Gannavaram sub-registrar, prompting a police investigation.
District Registrar M Gopalakrishna has issued a public notice, cautioning residents against using the stolen stamps, emphasizing their invalidity.
