An elderly woman in Patna's Khirimore locality lost her life at the hands of her son over a seemingly trivial issue, the police reported on Monday.
The accused, identified as Satyendra Ram, was captured and detained by the authorities for allegedly murdering his mother, as disclosed by Patna City SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh.
During discussions with the press, SP Singh stated that the incident occurred on Sunday in Banauli Bijurg village. Police responded to a distress call reporting that the woman was brutally beaten by her son inside their home. After arriving at the scene, the authorities dispatched the body for a post-mortem examination. Early investigations revealed that the tragic event unfolded following a disagreement about preparing a meal. Further probing suggests this is not the first violent episode involving the accused, who is said to have previously killed his wife over another trivial matter.
