Major Drug Bust: Krishna District Police Crackdown on Marijuana Trafficking

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the police in Krishna district seized more than 6 kilograms of marijuana and apprehended 10 individuals, according to authorities. The operation was conducted under the jurisdiction of the Chilakalapudi Police Station on Tuesday.
Among those arrested are four juveniles, confirmed Machilipatnam Deputy Superintendent of Police Ch Raja. The police are actively investigating to uncover the source of the narcotic and its intended destination.
A special task force has been established to carry out undercover operations aimed at eradicating marijuana activity in Machilipatnam. Notably, Krishna district police have previously arrested 520 individuals and confiscated around 655 kilograms of ganja under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
