Two suspected terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba were neutralized by Indian Army troops as they attempted to infiltrate across the Line of Control in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, officials announced on Wednesday. This incident followed the elimination of three terrorists involved in a Pahalgam attack.
The operation, code-named 'Shivshakti', was initiated based on intelligence from Indian units and the J-K Police. The army successfully thwarted the attempted breach with precise firepower, recovering three weapons in the process.
The operation began when Indian troops observed suspicious movement of two individuals along the Poonch sector fence. An ensuing gunfight resulted in the terrorists being neutralized after several hours, underscoring the importance of swift military response and intelligence collaboration.
