In a disturbing event in Kothamangalam, a 38-year-old man has reportedly died due to poisoning, with his female friend becoming the prime suspect, according to police sources.
Hospitalized on the morning of July 30, the man tragically passed away the following night. Investigators discovered a bottle of paraquat, a herbicide, at his residence, pointing to the alleged method of poisoning.
Police have since taken the 30-year-old woman into custody, with charges upgraded to murder. This case echoes a similar incident in Tamil Nadu where a young woman's poisoned tonic led to her friend's death, resulting in her death sentence earlier this year.
