During an official visit to Greece, Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, condemned the international community's response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, urging Western powers to put more pressure on Israel.

Abdelatty described the situation in Gaza as a "human tragedy" and criticized Israel's military actions as "systematic genocide." He reaffirmed Egypt's opposition to the displacement of Palestinians.

In addition to addressing the crisis, Abdelatty met with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis to discuss bilateral issues, including a planned undersea electricity grid and disputes over maritime boundaries. Talks also covered the legal status of Saint Catherine's Monastery in Egypt's Sinai Desert.
