Ex-Army Lance Naik Caught in Massive Job Scam
A former Army Lance Naik, Rajesh Kumar Rajbhar, was arrested in Jabalpur for defrauding unemployed youth by promising them jobs in the defence forces. He allegedly took Rs 17 lakh from victims, issuing fake appointment letters. Police are investigating further as more complainants are expected.

A 45-year-old former Army Lance Naik has been arrested in Jabalpur for allegedly defrauding unemployed youths by promising them jobs in the defence forces. The arrest occurred on Friday morning, and the case involves fraud totaling approximately Rs 17 lakh, according to police officials.
The accused, Rajesh Kumar Rajbhar, a resident of Ranjhi in Jabalpur, was handed over to local authorities by Military Intelligence. He is alleged to have taken money from job aspirants and provided them with fake appointment letters for positions in the armed forces, according to Mayank Yadav, Sub-Inspector and investigation officer of Ranjhi police station.
Four individuals have currently come forward as victims of the scam. Among them, Arvind Kol claims Rajbhar took Rs 4.80 lakh from him on the pretext of securing a compassionate appointment following his father's death while serving in the Army. Another three complainants reported being duped out of a collective Rs 12.30 lakh. Further investigations are underway, with more complainants expected. Rajbhar faces charges of cheating and forgery under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
