In a significant development, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir uncovered a criminal network with ties to a student from Jammu Central University. The student, identified as Kaif Ahmed, was arrested for allegedly selling weapons to local criminals.

Kaif Ahmed's arrest on July 11 marked a critical milestone in the investigation into illegal arms trafficking. He hails from Barharia village in the Siwan district of Bihar and has been accused of transporting pistols and kattas from Bihar for sale to criminals.

Following Ahmed's interrogation, officials seized more firearms and detained a known criminal, Balwinder Singh alias Goru Jatt. Further investigations are presently underway as authorities aim to dismantle the entire network.
