The Punjab Police announced on Thursday the arrest of six individuals involved in drug trafficking, notably including a government school teacher. The operations led to the seizure of approximately 9 kg of heroin in Amritsar and Tarn Taran.

Among those arrested were Honey, Parmdeep Singh alias Paras, Harwinder Singh alias Hinda, and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, all residents of Amritsar. The two women, Jasbir Kaur and Kulwinder Kaur, were from Tarn Taran, with Kulwinder identified as a primary school teacher. Key arrests were made shortly after uncovering a drug network with ties to Moga-based Jagpreet Singh alias Jagga, who was connected to a gangster abroad.

Police investigations reveal connections to Pakistan-based smugglers using drones for heroin delivery. Further investigations are ongoing, with two FIRs registered in Amritsar, aiming to dismantle these extensive networks.
