Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Leaders Urge Dialogue with Afghanistan for Lasting Peace

In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders emphasized the need for dialogue with Afghanistan, following the direction of PTI founder, Imran Khan. The province aims to continue supporting Afghan refugees, while addressing the aftermath of recent operations in Bajaur.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province leaders, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, reaffirmed their commitment to engaging in dialogues with Afghan authorities. During the meeting of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a call for formal talks was reiterated, reflecting the vision of founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Chief Minister stressed the province's humanitarian efforts, noting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's initiative in sending relief to Afghan earthquake victims. While addressing concerns over the Bajaur operation, he confirmed that no full-scale assault occurred, only targeted actions, leading most displaced families to return home.

In light of an intelligence-based operation against TTP extremists, which resulted in 22 militant casualties, PTI leaders argued that continual military actions undermine public trust and called for a focus on dialogue to foster lasting peace across the region.
