Mass Transfer in Kushinagar: Upholding Law and Order

Twenty-four police personnel in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district were transferred following an inspection by ADGP Mutha Ashok Jain. The inspection focused on measures against cattle smuggling and led to the officers' transfer as well as the removal of SP Santosh Kumar Mishra.

In a significant shake-up in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district, 24 police personnel have been transferred on the directives of ADGP Mutha Ashok Jain, officials reported on Friday.

The transfers were a result of Jain's late-night inspection on September 18, which scrutinized highway police stations for their efforts to halt cattle smuggling.

This move came after SP Santosh Kumar Mishra's removal, sharpening the focus on law enforcement’s accountability and efficacy in the region.
