Telangana's Plea: Maoists Urged to Surrender

Telangana's police chief, B Shivadhar Reddy, disclosed that around 65 Maoists from the state are underground, with 40 in leadership roles. Telangana Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy revealed on Tuesday that approximately 65 Maoists from the state remain underground, with around 40 assuming leadership roles within the organization.

Addressing the media after visiting a slain constable's residence, Reddy and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued an appeal for the Maoists to surrender, with guarantees against police harassment.

He encouraged Maoists to approach authorities through media or other officials to facilitate surrendering. His statement coincides with the recent surrender of four Maoists, rewarded under the state's surrender policy.
