With plans to bolster its presence, Lidl GB will proceed with the opening of 40 new stores in the upcoming year. The supermarket's current market share in the UK stands at 8.2%.

The company reported a pretax profit of 156.8 million pounds, up from 43.6 million pounds the previous year, supported by a notable 7.9% boost in revenue to 11.7 billion pounds.
