World Court Demands Israel Fulfill Gaza's Basic Needs
The International Court of Justice mandates that Israel ensures the provision of basic necessities to the civilian population in Gaza, supporting UN relief efforts. Claims against UNRWA employees' affiliations with Hamas remain unsubstantiated, as per the court's findings.
The International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel must ensure the essential needs of Gaza's civilians are met, as declared on Wednesday. The ruling emphasizes Israel's responsibility towards supporting United Nations relief efforts, particularly those of UNRWA.
The panel of judges underscored that Israel has an obligation to aid in the provision of basic necessities to those affected in the conflict-stricken region.
Moreover, the court found no evidence supporting Israel's allegations that numerous UNRWA employees are affiliated with Hamas, a militant organization.
