A property dispute in Bhokahedi town turned deadly when a 65-year-old father allegedly shot dead his son and injured his daughter-in-law during a heated argument, police reported Friday.

The tragic incident unfolded in Bhokahedi's Bhopa area on Thursday, sparking a police investigation led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar. The accused, identified as Brijveer, was promptly arrested, and the firearm used in the crime has been confiscated.

According to local sources and preliminary investigations, the family dispute had been escalating, with frequent quarrels over agricultural land. Tensions reached a breaking point when the son, Robin Sahrawat, was allegedly planning to sell the property against his father's desires.

The confrontation turned violent on Thursday morning when, during an argument, Brijveer allegedly opened fire on Robin and his wife, Ravita, leaving Robin dead and Ravita in critical condition at a local hospital. The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
