A tragic head-on collision in Jharkhand's Garhwa district claimed the lives of two individuals on a motorcycle. Police reported that Ganesh Baitha and Chottu Rajak were killed when they collided with a truck near Hur Chahal village on Monday.
Chottu's nine-year-old daughter, Anjali Kumari, sustained injuries in the crash and is currently receiving medical treatment at Garhwa Sadar Hospital, authorities stated.
The accident occurred while the three were returning from shopping for Chhath Puja. In response, villagers blocked the road, demanding the arrest of the truck driver, who remains at large despite the truck being seized, police said.
